Voice welcomes Ofsted workforce report
Voice: the union for education professionals has welcomed the key findings of the Ofsted report The deployment, training and development of the wider school workforce (5 November 2008).
General Secretary Philip Parkin said: "This report confirms what we have known for some time – that teachers’ fellow professionals, such as teaching assistants, add considerably to the quality of teaching and learning in schools.
"This section of the education workforce should feel proud of their achievements.
"The Workforce Agreement was one of the most significant developments in education in recent decades. This report shows that the reforms have made a difference to the work of the whole school.
"It is crucial that the momentum and credibility of the reforms continue and that all those in school work together to make them a success for the benefit of pupils."
