Glasgow 2016

Thank you for everyone who joined us at the Voice Scotland Conference 2016 in Glasgow.

We enjoyed a fantastic day of speakers and workshops covering a range of exciting topics:

Bill Boyd opened the day with some interesting approaching and attitudes towards improving literacy in the 21st century. He was then followed by our two morning sessions.

Kim McCauley outlined WOSDEC’s approach to helping nurture a sense of global citizenship in our classrooms.

Morris Charlton offered a taster of how to manage challenging behaviour.

After lunch we were joined by Robert Quinn from the SQA to address enquires about changes to exam systems and Mark Ellis from Reach Out CPD who introduce the range of resources and materials on offer to support early years and primary teachers offer more exciting STEM sessions.

Finally Norman Lamont gave us an introduction to how mindfulness can help us achieve a better work-life balance.

If you attended the conference we encourage you to complete our short feedback survey – click here to complete – if you were unable to attend, we encourage you to keep an eye out for you 2017 dates which we hope to start announcing shortly. Just visit the events page of the website or ready your quarterly issue of Your Voice to keep up to date with future Voice events.
