Voice - the education and early years section of Community
Unfortunately, at work, things can go wrong when you least expect it, and that is why we are here.
As a member, you can rely on us. We're firm but friendly, here to support you throughout your career and to fight your corner. It is our mission is to support, protect and listen to our members and help them get the most from their education and career.
We believe that everybody has a right to be heard, but that not every member is the same. That's why we don’t offer a one-size-fits-all solution. We’re dedicated to providing a personalised service to each of our members.
The strength of negotiation
We prefer the force of argument rather than the argument of force. We believe in the power of negotiation and strength of legal action to protect the interests and concerns of our members, not industrial action that can be damaging to education. Our members are as dedicated to supporting the development of the children they teach and care for as they are passionate about pursuing a fair and rewarding workplace. That’s why our members don't take industrial action that could be injurious to education. We support our sector instead through protest and negotiation.
Our success is based on our commitment to our members. We dedicate our focus to their needs, concerns and preferences. We negotiate with government departments, local authorities and private employers to seek recognition for education and childcare professionals. This is assisted by our strong position in government working groups and consultation forums.
It is our goal to ensure your workplace is somewhere you feel valued, secure and rewarded. Voice deals with the agitating, the arguing, the negotiating and the planning for you, giving you the freedom to get on with what matters most – your career.
Voice's Core Values
The strength of negotiation
At Voice Community, we believe in the power of negotiation to protect and promote the interests of education and our members.
It’s our members, and only our members who influence our direction and the services we offer – never political agendas or third-party influencers.
Supporting children, protecting ourselves
We’re responsible for the children we educate and care for, and it’s essential that we support them alongside protecting ourselves.
Every member is unique
All of our members are professionals fulfilling an important role in education, early years and childcare, so it’s important that we provide a dedicated and personal service, and strive for quality in everything we do.
