On 23 January 2020, Voice General Secretary Deborah Lawson, President Melynda Standring and Vice President Joy Rowley attended, as guests of Community, The Anne Frank Trust Annual Lunch 2020, which this year marks Holocaust Memorial Day and the 75th anniversaries both of the liberation of Auschwitz and of the death of Anne Frank.
In the last 5 years, crime motivated by prejudice has risen by 123%. General Secretary Deborah Lawson said:
“It was good to meet with colleagues from Community and the Britain Israel Trade Union Dialogue (BITUD).
“It was a very interesting event with some thought-provoking presentations about how we can eradicate prejudice.
"I was honoured to attend and to hear such powerful and inspiring speeches, especially those from the young Anne Frank Ambassadors.”
