Voice: The Union for Education Professionals has welcomed news of major funding for 50 school building projects in England, and repairs and upgrades to existing school and further education college buildings.
General Secretary Deborah Lawson said:
“This is a welcome investment that will benefit schools and colleges across the country, but it is long overdue.
“The National Audit Office has identified a backlog of £6.7 billion of repairs that are needed across England's schools.
“Schools and colleges will also have to wait until after the Spending Review in the Autumn to learn if they will benefit.”
