Voice Official Response: Draft guidance to challenge bullying in schools

Backgound: The Welsh Government consulted on the draft anti-bullying guidance and toolkit, which has been developed to prevent and challenge bullying in schools.

Summary:  For an anti-bullying ethos and policy to be successful in a school, staff training would be highly beneficial if not essential.  Since the resources are not currently presented in a particularly practical format, this almost pre-supposes that training will be part of the package; however, this may not be the case, particularly as there are few providers in Wales that can deliver this type of training, and budgets and capacity are always concerns.  This is a further matter for the Welsh Government and consortia to consider.
